The tour touches on numerous details, ex: the father of Thomas Bouckley (whose extensive collection of local photographs is a special collection at the RMG ) was an owner of Mike's Place store on King St. W., or that the downtown Murals first painted in1993 (and continued to 1997) were initiated as part of a beautification plan by the City's newly formed Downtown Action Committee. Lots of information for both newcomers to Oshawa and long-time residents.
The 'armchair' tour also mentions that the Canadian Automotive Museum has been hosting live walking tours that have a Canadian automotive flavour. You must register to ensure COVID protocols, and with the ticket you will also receive a tour of the museum's cars.
