Oshawa's current Mayor & some Councillors regularly announce how our city is booming, and cite all the new subdivision builds coming on-stream. But there is a trend happening across Canada that some may want to consider -for the 1st time in 45 years home ownership has declined. In fact, home ownership rates have dropped in 88 of Canada's 100 largest cities and Oshawa is on that list. Also noteworthy, of Durham Region's 5 lakeshore municipalities Oshawa is the one missing from the top 20 cities with the highest home ownership rate in 2016.
