Below is a copy of an uplifting post by artist Chad Tyson published on the Downtown Oshawa Facebook group page today. There were over 100 positive comments in the first 2 hours, almost one every minute.
Not only does Chad's mural artwork make people happy, but the fact he took the time to write about all the positive feedback on his first post on the Downtown group page will make you smile. Please read his words, as I think you will also want to give a big thank you to Chad Tyson for spreading a wonderful community spirit message in Oshawa
"I just finished up this mural Downtown Oshawa and I wanted to share my experience over the past 4 days. As an artist who paints public art, you open yourself up to public opinion. With every 10 compliments there is always those few that just hate everything and complain.. that being said I was blown away by the positive comments I received from all walks of life over the past week. No word of a lie, I was yelled at about 175 times out car windows with positive comments and had over 70 people walk by and compliment me and tell me they loved seeing something like this downtown. We all know Oshawa can be a little rough and tough but I didn't get a single negative remark all week. I have alot of love for Oshawa and this week really helped regain my faith in humanity."
