GM's CEO Mary Barra came on-line around noon Wed. January 5th, 2022 to announce General Motor's first new all-electric vehicle, the Silverado truck. My husband and I tuned in to watch and were both impressed with the specifications, for example, 400 miles (640 km) range on a full charge, zero emissions, 'leading edge' tech capabilities and super cruise descriptions. But we were disappointed about the product's availability for delivery. At 1:00 pm when they opened up preorders they indicated they were not taking Canadian orders at the start. Late fall 2023 delivery of the 2024 model limited and the 2025s would be coming in spring of 2024.
Update: It seems with the January 5th launch, all order reservation slots were filled within 12 MINUTES. Here's a January 7th link to the Canadian prices announcement gmauthority.com/blog/2022/01/2024-chevy-silverado-ev-pricing-announced-in-canada/
