Today 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. is Oshawa's Launch of Accessible Trick-or-Treating! Come to Home Depot @ Taunton & Harmony to pick up your free sign while quantities last! By displaying an Accessible Trick or Treating sign on your front lawn you are letting people know that your home is accessible for everyone trick-or-treating this Halloween and helping to raise awareness around accessibility issues! Rich Padulo, a GTA resident who initiated this worthy effort two years ago, and was joined with sponsorships from Home Depot and Re/Max, will be in attendance at the start of the event. I understand that The Home Depot Canada (all locations) will also be holding special workshops where you can learn how to build a single-step, temporary ramp in partnership with StopGap Foundation.

Wonderful to see how many embraced the Hallowe’en Accessibility plan and took a free sign! We were honoured to be joined by the Accessibility Trick-or-Treat founder Rich Padulo. There was a special workshop provided by Home Depot and  www.stopgap with instruction guide to building your own accessibility ramp.
