NOTICE of upcoming meeting GREENHILL /WILSON RD N proposed commercial/residential development plan
The City is now coordinating a virtual meeting TUES JUNE 29th 6-8 pm between concerned residents and the owner who is applying for Committee of Adjustment minor variances.
The area residents do not find the variances being requested 'minor' at all. They see the developer pushing the proposed building envelope 5 feet closer into the busy intersection a serious safety issue.
They find the proposed building design, which wraps around the site's entire two road frontage, with a tunnel like access from Wilson Rd. N. under two apartments into the rear surface parking lot something not consistent with the principles of good design.
The meeting will provide the following:
- Background on the zoning of the site, including the Taunton Part II Plan of the Oshawa Official Plan,
- A presentation by the architect briefly describing the design elements of the development, and,
- The chance for all concerned parties to express their opinions.
Please email [email protected] by noon on Friday June 25th advising if you would wish to attend. Prior to the meeting, another email will be sent with additional meeting information including the virtual meeting link and call-in number.
If you are unable to attend this meeting, please feel free to provide your written correspondence before the meeting to be included in the discussions. Please send your written correspondence to [email protected].
