Three cheers for builder/developer Marlin Spring! Finally Oshawa has a new home development where the builder is hoping to include a couple dwellings that will have an ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE (either level or with ramp) and WIDE ENOUGH ACCESS DOORS FOR MOBILITY DEVICES. I give a big thank you to them in my quote in the media release (mine is highlighted in blue because I want to draw attention to this wonderful news!) The Oshawa Accessibility Advisory Committee has been working diligently to see barriers removed and are supremely grateful to Pedro Lopez, who listened and agreed the time is now to give responsive support to accessibility in new home developments in Oshawa!!
and Oshawa is about to inspire other communities to have ACCESSIBLE dwellings part of new development plans, something as simple as a level entrance or ramp, and wide enough doorways for mobility devices means the world to someone with mobility challenges.
