The Table's first column shows the current charges and the last column shows the increase difference (except for Industrial Charges which are reduced)..for singles and semi detached the proposed increase is $6,608.
One thing I was surprised to learn, although I knew previous Councils had exempted the Downtown Urban Growth Centre from DCs, I didn't know they also exempted the 'periphery' too, which includes all of the former Fittings acres south of the Tribute Communities Centre, and well...here are the two maps, one on the right shows the Oshawa Downtown Urban Growth Centre boundaries, and the one on the left shows the areas outside which the previous Council also made exempt. So no Development Charges for Medallion's development of the approx. 30 acre former Fittings property and those other projects on east side of Division, as well as those projects proposed on the north side of Colbourne and east side of Simcoe...
