Wonderful the way Oshawa cricket players worked to make this new sports field a reality. Wish I could have attended the opening this week to give my congratulations. The work and planning that involved many Oshawa City staff and residents, from the initial discussions when many thought it a long shot, to when they made their 'pitch' to Council members in 2021, their passion and dedication is something to celebrate!
This new temporary cricket field is a smaller sized playing field with an approximate boundary radius of 40-50 metres. In 2022, Council approved the field at Stone Street Park , located at 1535 Cedar Street, with a permanent regulation cricket field to be developed at a future location.
