From the street in front of the two large spruce trees beside City Hall, and all the way down along the pathway in Memorial Park, the downtown area was hopping again this weekend. Two weekends in a row, crowds of Oshawa families were making sweet memories this season! Kudos go out to the lead dancer/singer in the excellent kid's show sponsored by Oshawa Power in our fabulous Bandshell! He had the kids dancing wildly to keep up with his routine, which involved a Simon Says dance, making animal gestures, doing the crazy floss dance, and a stop and freeze in a dance pose without falling over ..check it out in the video clip! The Santa bubble igloo was a showstopper...it was white, but the interior lighting showed all red in the photo I snapped. The successful collaborative event between the City, Downtown BIA, Libraries, RMG, OSCC and the Simcoe & St. George's churches, did not seem hampered by the damp cold much at all.
