Before Thanksgiving the puffball in our yard was size of a basketball. In past years we would usually describe it as the size of a soccer ball. This montho, a bit preoccupied with the election campaign I hadn't checked it much, until this morning when my husband announced it was the size of a pig! Recipes anyone? (Of course I had to include my daughter's Vote Oshawa frisbee in a picture of it. The last advance polls are this weekend before election day Monday, Oct 22nd. Advance poll today is at Donovan Community Complex 171 Harmony Rd. S., from noon until 8 p.m. and LAST ADVANCE POLL THIS SUNDAY, LEGENDS CENTRE, FROM 10:00 A.M. TO 6:00 P.M. p.s. weighed the giant puffball mushroom (Calvatia gigantea)...it is almost 15 pounds!
