A new Corporate Security company is being recommended to Council for security surveillance and guard services in Report FIN-21-33 http://app.oshawa.ca/.../2021-04-19/REPORT_FIN-21-33.pdf
At the April 19 Finance Committee meeting I asked if the guards patrolling for security could also call in such things they encounter as the sofa that was on Simcoe St. for 2 weeks!

There are hundreds of city workers and police downtown everyday and millions of dollars spent on the City security around the downtown all day long too. "How many of them call Service Oshawa (SO) whenever they see stuff? The stuff in the pics was eventually picked up but nowhere near promptly enough."
Making the call to Service Oshawa should be a normal part of their routine.
