There are two items on the Agenda for this Monday's Public Planning Act Meeting, and one in particular seems to be generating a lot of concern, as several residents have submitted letters in opposition.
It is an application for a 9 storey,192 bachelor unit apartment building with 1,200 sq.ft of retail on main floor, for the approx half acre property at the s/w corner of Simcoe St. N & Niagara Drive (1664 Simcoe St. N. & 17 & 25 Niagara Dr)
The 192 apartments are proposed to range in size from 270 to 495 sq.ft. The plan Karmina Developments has submitted is to change the zoning from medium density to high density. The proposed parking consists of 7 surface parking stalls and 49 underground triple stacked.
