I want to thank MPP Lindsey Park and Ward I resident Kirk Lowe for their fantastic participation with me in last evening's Wart 1 Virtual Town Hall.
There were a variety of questions and it was a good one-on-one session to speak to the local and provincial issues raised, which ranged from
• excessive vehicle noise on Oshawa roads
• lowering speed limits on neighbourhood and raising speed limits on arterial roads
• whether the rapid new residential development are the underlying cause of Oshawa's too high taxes and whether new residential development actually pays for the development
• what are new initiatives to control gangs and guns
• will there be new air filtration systems installed in senior's and recreational facilities for health safety
• can a health and wellness walk-in clinic be located near the hospital
Next time I will be sure to work out the technical glitches (sorry again Kirk for not having my video feed working, and yes it likely was user error!) So good or bad that no one got to see me, and to think for a change these past few months I'd actually put on make-up and dressed up for the camera :)
Looking forward to the Tuesday Sept 22 Ward 1 Town Hall to discuss Oshawa's 2021 Budget
