This week I appreciated an alert from an area resident who asked what all these new poles on Wilson Rd. N were about (see picture he sent below). In fact, there are several dozen all along both sides of Wilson Rd. N. on the boulevard from Taunton to Conlin Rd.
Oshawa Works and Traffic Department Staff, indicated they are for a new bike lane. It seems back in 2015 when the City was doing its Active Transportation Master Plan a bike lane was planned here and now is happening...only with the rain on the weekend and Monday there have been delays getting the lines painted on the pavement and the signs up.
For details, City Staff indicated the information was on Schedule E2 of the 2015 Report, and that the type of lane followed the bike lane standard for llb. (See Cycling and Trail network map and details re bike standards for llb below)
